Why We Need Your Help:

IronStraw Group is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit educational organization supported by grants and tax deductible contributions from foundations, corporate sponsors and individuals. Our work "Strengthens Communities through Strawbale Building" -- training youth through hands-on learning to become productive members of their community while building strawbale homes for the disadvantaged.

Our innovative youth programs provide leading edge, practical building skills to At-Risk and those disadvantaged, empowering them with leadership and models of healthy work ethics.

They work hard, use creative thinking and team dynamics, and the kids have fun! At times they break out in song while working or in unison start poetic "rapping". It's all of life happening.

Each day of work brings surprises and challenges. Profound changes take place. Good changes, positive choices. Thanks to all of contributors and partners for their ongoing generous support.

Here's How to Help:

I. Make a cash donation to IronStraw. This is the most needed and best way you can support our work! Become a Sponsor of IronStraw by sending your tax-deductible donation. As a public nonprofit we rely on your donations to support our youth programs.

II. Call us and come out and work with the youth - you'll feel great and you will learn about building too.

III. Purchase and contribute some equipment (also tax deductible). Here's a short list of our needs and what your equipment donation will buy:

Power tools - both cordless and corded (we can always use more).

• Contribute $100 and we can buy an electric chainsaw for notching and trimming bales.
  
• Contribute $25 and we can make two baling needles - to give to the home builders.

When we have these tools donated, we use them at our workshops then give them to the owner/builders.

Larger Power tools - chop saw, nail gun, pneumatic stapler, weed whacker.

Enclosed tool trailer we can take to building sites.

IV. Spread the word about IronStraw. Tell all your friends about us and ask them to support our programs with a tax deductible contribution.
